Ich bin erst 17, aber trotz meines Alters muss ich bemerken, dass ich Internetauktionen von Bildern etwas total BESCHISSENES finde.....stellen sie sich nur mal vor, was das für ein typ sein wird, der dieses Bild kauft!!!!¨Irgend so ein überreiches Computerarschloch wird das sein! Und das stellt IHRE PERSOENLICHKEIT in SEINE RAEUMLICHKEITEN!!!!!!!Und das wird er nicht wegen ihrer Kunstfertigkeit machen, sondern nur, weil "das doch der Typ gemalt hat, der diesen geilen Film gemacht hat"!!!Ich habe mich von klein auf mit ihren Bildern auseinandergesetzt, weil ich etwas Kunstfertigkeit besitze. Comments: Since I have saw your work in Alien movie from the first time (1984), when I had 8 years, I've ask to myself how can a simple human make all my nightmares becomes true in a picture. I love the Giger's work, and now that I am a Graphic Designer and Art teacher in two Schools of Design in Brazil, I have proud to say that Giger is my great guide, my inspiration. I can not help but feel contempt for those who believe that "real" art is only a shallow representation of society's standards of beauty. I was introduced to the artist's work with "Alien".
I have been keeping up with his work ever since.
Mr. Giger's art invokes a sense of wonder AND revulsion simultaneously. The images are wonderfully disturbing the symbolism is understood for the most part.

Comments: H.R. Giger is a man who is aware of the dark atrocities of out terrible world, he knows how to express it as well. It is seen in his morbid, dark, much admired pieces of art. He is responsible for many terribly frightning creations that came directly from his own great imagination. He is responsible for my inspiration, my nightmares, others nightmares aswell. I believe his work should be admired, I believe he should recieve credit for all of it.
