And what a unique style. Makes me look at

Comments: I would like to submit these comments to the Alien Insurrection page. I
am an artist and have been a devout fan of Giger's artwork since I was 13 years old. At
that time, I had seen the first Alien movie and proceeded to purchase the Necronomicon and
everything I could get my hands on about the making of that movie. I have had many dreams
about the Alien since then, and have been greatly influenced by Giger's vision. It is
deplorable that Fox did not generously credit H.R. Giger for his creation: the Alien. Fox
owes the existence of this movie franchise to the vision of this one man. I believe,
however, that the Alien series has the potential for many more installments, and that the
producers of future movies should always look to the archives of Hans Rudi Giger for the
base material for their future story lines. If you examine Giger's work closely, you will
find very many opportunities for stories to be developed from his images, stories that
reach into the human unconscious in a uniquely potent way. It is my personal hope that the
deeply psychological, sexual, aesthetic and spiritual implications of the Alien mystique
will be developed in future movies, comics, etc., not just the splatter and exploitation
quotients.

Comments: When I glance upon a Giger image, I do not see beauty, I do not see
ugliness, but instead my mind is transported into another world, and I begin to envision
much more than what Giger has physically supplied. I find myself in a world of the bizarre
& unusual, where I am not bored by shopping malls and endless freeways in which our
present world supplies us with. Thanks to Giger, I now have an optional world I can
temporarily visit. My imagination has been stirred and prodded into going far beyond the
boundaries in which it once faced, perhaps due to a lack of creativity. Giger aids us into
extending our dreams. This effect, I believe, should be the ultimate goal of every artist.

unique art form Giger has created. He is truly an originator in his time. Anyway, I got to
thinking whilst searching the web for some things to download and mess with and I thought
it would be cool if there were a Giger desktop theme for windows 95. I found a few that
had to do with the alien movies, but I know that Giger's talent and reputation goes beyond
his work in hollywood. I've been hooked on his distinctive artwork since I picked up the
two Darkseed games produced by Cyberdreams, and I'd like to see some more stuff on the net
that's directly associated with his work, and not so much with the movies he's worked on.
Thanks to Giger for challenging all of us, and thanks to al of you for making this website

Comments: dear hr- enjoyed the website! have been a rabid fan since 1978, and am
now the proud owner of necronomicon 1/2, biomechanics, and most recently, www.hrgiger.com.
my favorite of your works would have to be vlad tepes, and the harkonen furniture. i am
curious to know more about your personal interests, i.e. what movies you enjoy (have you
seen brazil, or seven, or hellraiser?), what you thought of what david lynch did with
dune, have you heard nine inch nail's album "the downward spiral" (the aural
equivalant of your work, in my opinion.)? if you are open to suggestions, i have a couple.
since now you are more interested in sculpture, i think the kitchen door, and the front in
entrance hall pieces would be outstanding in the third dimension. also, a price list for
the furniture would be nice, so that i could see which, if any, harkonen chair i might be
able to afford. i am sorry to say that i didn't pay attention to the credits in alien
ressurection, so i was not aware until now of fox's unmitigated gall in slighting you. i
will not purchase this movie until this situation has been corrected. thank you for your
time, and your art.

an aprentice of someone like H.R. Giger. Personally I have alot in common "talent
wise" with him, I am a painter, sculpter, writer, poet, carpenter, jeweler,

this is starting to look like a resume, but it's my passion. Keep up the wicked work and

Comments: I am fascinated by giger art work since long time ago. the first thing i
saw was the artwork for the cover of Emerson lake and palmer "brain salad surgery. I
am a fan of this band since 12 years old and became a fan of giger art work. Also,
Throught some movies like Alien, I think giger developped a very different kind of world.
Something standing out so much from anybody. FOR ME, ALIEN, GIGER AND THE EMERSON LAKE AND
PALMER MUSIC ARE THE SAME "ENTITE" OR SAME PERSON. SO BEAUTIFUL, SO INCREDIBLY
POWERFULL, SENSUAL AND MONSTRUOUS BUT WITH THIS INDICIBLE PART OF EXTREM BEAUTY. Very hard
to definite. I'm a painter myself and when I was 14, I painted an Alien with an
"Aerographe" on a large piece of plywood. I lost this painting now. Whatever, If
you can, I go often in Tokyo and if you could give me the exact adress of the giger bar,
iWould appreciate. Keep doing your fantastic job which is not as "evil" as that.
In your work Giger, there is an incredible aesthetisme, when I see Alien, I just see a
beauty, facsinating beauty. Also, I was wondering if you know were I can find those Alien
action figures, replica of the different representation of it. I would like to have one on
my work desk so bad. Thanks for reading me.

think she was probably first to see it in the UK - she loved it!. I now have a morbid
fascination with Mr Giger and have collected many prints to adorne my abode. I like to
watch people's reactions and realisation. After delving deeper into the artwork and the
artist after watching finally getting to watch Aliens when about 13, I think I have learnt
to appreciate the enormity of Giger's world. Smooth, horrific, yet with an air of
tranquility. Mr Giger should be proud that 20 years on, Alien has been made memorable by
HIS creation and his creation alone and has inspired others to mimic his creations. Fox
should have carried on with the Alien saga in the direction the comic books took - Alien
homeworlds, Earth over-run by Aliens etc. Just think of the opportunities that have
slipped through their fingers! The possibilities for Mr Giger to create vast Alien empires
and cultures - Tis too tragic to ponder on such a dream (or is it nightmare!) Thanks HR -
and thanks to you for reading this.

Comments: H.R. Giger has been one of my favorite artists ever since I was old
enough to know WHO did the monster for Alien (I was only...7 or 8 when I first saw the
movie...my first monster movie nightmare). I am also a major music fanatic, mostly metal,
so I've seen his artwork on CDs for Steve Stevens' Atomic Playboys, Danzig, Carcass, and
many others. After reading through what Mr. Giger has endured at the hands of Fox over the
Alien sequels, I was outraged. I can see the paralells between the music industry and
movie industry. The artist gets screwed over by the big corporation, who's only concern is
money -- not artistic expression. Giger said near the end of one of the articles that if
he were asked again to work on another Alien movie, he would. I have to say, not only is
he a great artist, but he has a tremendous amount of fortitude...for I know that if I was
in the same position, I'd tell Fox to go copulate with a herd of sheep! I'd like to add
two TOTALLY unrelated suggestions: 1) A movie based on a Clive Barker story with H.R.
Giger doing the visuals. That would be the ULTIMATE horror movie. 2) Pertaining to the
site...maybe in the music section, there should be a gallery of all the LP covers that he
did artwork for listed (I thought that's what it was for originally, until I saw the info
on the AIDS CD). In closing, I would like to say to H.R. Giger that I have undying respect
for his artwork, and hope that he continues to design the most mind-boggling artwork well
into the next Millennium!

Comments: I have always loved Giger's work. I would like information on U.S. price
listings on available Giger furniture(including shipping costs). Also, I would like
information on purchasing a print of Giger's portrait of "Debbie Harry." I don't
recall the name of the piece but I'm sure you can easily find out. It was in one of his
Necronomicon books. Thank you for your time and consideration. Kerry M. Saunders

Comments: I love your work! It is wonderful. People say you can't draw or design
something that is in your head, however, you've shown me that you can. I'm an artist, only
in high school, but trying to develop my style. I was wondering if you could send me any
techniques of what you do. How you get the ideas for what you do? How to paint like you
do? I am trying acrylics right now and I am not getting the affect I would like. I am not
using air brushes. I am in the future.

way. But then again-is there anything that you are not capable of? Yours sincerely, Dana X

his artworks. They invoke the most unique and strangest thoughts that have bought me to
places in my mind I have never previously been. Mere words make it difficult for me to
express my thoughts concerning Giger's artwork because it is so wonderful.

Comments: Greetings, I was on the web and I saw a photograph that had the title
"The Giger Bar in New York." I have never heard of a Giger Bar in New York, and
I am sure that is there was a Giger bar in New York, it would be listed here. Could
someone confirm my suspicions that the New York Giger bar is merely a myth?
